Why Am I A Writer?

Writing is fun. It’s creative. It gives me a unique way to express my thoughts, feelings, and opinions in a way that feels satisfying and complete.

But that’s not the real reason I write. All of the above listed positive aspects of writing are good and true, but there is another thing I write for. Another one I write for.

God changed my life drastically. He is my very best friend and the one I can run to when things seem to be going all wrong.

I write because God has given me a story, and a message. His message. I know what hope looks like, I know what freedom feels like, and I so badly want to help others experience the abundant life that only God can provide.

Proverbs 18:21 says, ‘Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.’ Our words are powerful, and important. Words can build people up, or tear them down. We need to be wise with how we use them

I want to use my words to point others to the light of the world, JESUS. I want my words to be about him, and not me. I want people to read what I write and see the truth about Jesus, and how he can change their lives, like he did mine. This is why I write.
